Red Racer Runs for Charity!
Money Mart Easter Seals 24 Hour Relay for the Kids June 2nd, 2011
Or more specifically, our sales manager…
You see, he is getting ready to participate in the Money Mart Easter Seals 24 Hour Relay for the Kids. As a member of The Bobbleheads Relay team, he’ll be joining his teammates on June 18th & 19th at Swangard Stadium to run 4km relay style for 24 hours in support of the BC Lions Society’s Easter Seals camping program.
The money his team raises will help send children with disabilities from all over the province to specialized Easter Seals Camps at no cost to their families. For one week each summer, these kids get to be just like every other kid – swimming in the pool, sailing on the lake, scaling the climbing wall, flying high on the giant swing, and going on an overnight campout.
Many campers look forward to going to camp all year long as it’s an amazing place where they focus on each camper’s abilities rather than their disabilities; where independence, self-esteem, and self-confidence are encouraged & supported by camp staff throughout the week.
Keep in mind that to send one child to camp for one week costs almost $2400. Thus, with your support, The Bobbleheads will make a generous contribution to helping send children with disabilities to camp this summer. To make an online pledge on our sales manager’s behalf, just click on the link below. Donations can be made by using Visa or Mastercard.
All online donations will automatically receive an electronic tax receipt. It’s fast, easy and you’ll be helping send hundreds of BC’s children with disabilities to camp this summer.
Thanks so much for your support!
